Patrick Williams receives a king's welcome at his 40th all-white birthday party.

Celebrations dominated the evening of Saturday, February 14, the traditional lover's holiday, and white was the colour of the night as some couples and singles celebrated Valentine's Day at home, in a restaurant or on the beach.

First, Patrick Williams was welcome by family and friends to the sounds of calypso at his all-white birthday party, held at his home in Bogue Village, St James. People from all over the island, as well as kin and associates who travelled from New York, Florida, and California, came together to welcome Williams home with live entertainment, ice sculptures, waterfalls, speciality drinks, a red-carpet entrance and Caribbean cuisine, all within the borders of his luau-themed backyard.

Evidenced by the varying ages and geographical locations of the crowd, Williams knows how to bring diversity to events. He is credited for bringing such variety to the Jamaica Independence Family Fun Day Picnic, a popular annual event that has been a hit in Los Angeles, California.
