It was a perfect surprise for law student/philanthropist/model and recipient of a 2001 Gleaner Honour Award, Courtney Foster, when friends gave her a birthday surprise on February 7. The venue was the Hilton Kingston Jamaica.

Courtney is also the recipient of the 2004 Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence and hopes to be a criminal lawyer when she is finished studying.Friends who toasted her included Peta-Gaye Manderson, Rhona Morgan, Sabrina Cross, Leah Craig-Chaderton, Kaysian Kennedy, Faith Hall, Janis Senior, Kimberly Thelwell, Jerusha Stupart, Susan Hill, Shanna Stephens, Joel Freckleton, David Flemming, Miguel Palmer, Christopher Mahfood, Brandon Oakley, Miguel Williams, Garcia Kelly and Harrington McDermott.


Cheers, my friend, is the sentiment of classmate Sabrina Cross (right) for Courtney Foster.
